What we collect and why
| When | Data | Purpose and lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Browsing and enquiry list | Selected products, stored on your own device. | To provide the enquiry list you asked for. Strictly necessary; the data stays in your browser and is not sent to us. |
| Contact form | Name, email, message, and an order number or product if you give them. | To reply to your enquiry. Legitimate interests and, where you contact us before a contract, taking steps at your request. |
| Newsletter | Email address and your consent record. | To send emails you have asked for. Consent, which you can withdraw at any time. |
| Request to order | Name, email, selected products, optional comments and an 18+ confirmation where relevant. | To respond to your enquiry and take steps at your request before a contract. |
| Agreed purchases | Only the details needed to arrange payment, delivery and support after a purchase is agreed. | To perform the contract and meet legal obligations such as accounting. |
We do not take online payments or collect payment card details through this website. Payment is agreed separately only after a purchase is confirmed.
Age and identity verification
An 18+ confirmation in a request to order is not age verification. If a knife purchase is agreed, we will explain the separate age-verification process before collecting any further information. Do not send passport details or photographs through this website.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with organisations that help us run the shop, and only as far as they need it:
- Delivery services, only where a purchase and delivery arrangement have been agreed.
- Payment and age-verification providers, only if a purchase is agreed.
- Email and hosting providers that operate this website and its communications.
- Police or regulators where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to respond and follow up. Where a purchase is agreed, we retain the records needed for the contract, customer support and applicable accounting obligations. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our use of it, to receive it in a portable format and, where we rely on consent, to withdraw that consent. To use these rights, contact us using the details above.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and local storage
We use essential storage to keep your enquiry list and remember your cookie choice. We do not load analytics or marketing tools unless you allow them. See the cookie policy, where you can also change your preferences.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Questions about it can be sent through our contact page.
