Terms & conditions.
The terms that apply when you request to order from MAINEOFFER.
About these terms
These terms explain how requests to order are handled for consumers in the United Kingdom. MAINEOFFER is operated by The Wooden Chopping Board Company Ltd. Sending an enquiry does not create an order or contract. Please read them with our delivery & returns information, privacy policy and cookie policy.

Our products
We make our products in small batches from natural materials. Timber varies in grain and colour and hand finishing varies slightly, so a piece may differ from the photographs. Dimensions and weights are approximate. We aim to describe products accurately; if you are unsure, ask before you buy.
Age-restricted products
Knives and knife sets are sold to customers aged 18 or over only. An 18+ confirmation in an enquiry is not age verification. We arrange verification separately before agreeing a knife purchase, and delivery age checks will be arranged with an appropriate carrier, as described in our delivery & returns information.
Orders and contracts
Submitting an enquiry is an invitation to discuss a possible purchase, not an order or acceptance. We will confirm availability, production time, delivery and payment with you individually. A contract is formed only when we accept your order in writing after those details have been agreed. We may decline a request, for example if an item is unavailable, there has been a pricing error, or age cannot be verified.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and are listed for guidance while availability, production time, delivery and payment are agreed individually after your enquiry. We do not take online payments.
Delivery
Once a purchase has been agreed, we will confirm delivery options, cost and address with you. Estimated delivery times are estimates. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered. Delivery of knives has additional requirements which you must meet before the purchase can be completed.
Cancellation, returns and faults
You have the statutory right to cancel an online order within 14 days of receiving the goods, and the right to goods that are of satisfactory quality, as described and fit for purpose. Details are in our returns information. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Liability
We do not limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breach, or for loss of business, as we sell to consumers for personal use. Knives are sharp. Please use and store them safely and keep them out of the reach of children.
General
All photographs, text, designs and brand marks on this site belong to us or are used with permission and may not be copied without consent. We may update these terms; the version in force when you order applies to that order. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
