About this serving board
A long board for the table: bread and cheese, charcuterie, grilled vegetables or a sharing plate of small things. Its narrow shape suits a long table and fits easily on a shelf.
The grain is oak, open and well-defined. One end has a shaped grip with a hanging hole so it can be carried or hung up when not in use.
It can be cut on lightly, but is designed to be a serving surface rather than a daily chopping board.
Craft details
The grip and hanging hole are cut and smoothed by hand before the board is sanded and oiled.
Care guidance
- Wipe with a damp cloth after use and dry immediately. Avoid soaking or dishwashers.
- Serving boards will take cuts and stains from cheese, cured meats and fruit. A light sand with fine paper followed by oil refreshes the surface.
- Oil with food-safe mineral oil or board conditioner when the timber looks dry.
- Store flat or on edge, away from radiators and direct sunlight.
