About this serving board
A round board is a good shape for a centrepiece: a single cheese, a loaf, a tart or a handful of small plates for the middle of the table.
It is made from edge-grain walnut with a bevelled underside, so the board appears to float above the table.
It can take light cutting, though we suggest keeping it for serving.
Craft details
The circle is cut from a glued-up panel, the edge is eased, and the underside is bevelled by hand before sanding and oiling.
Care guidance
- Wipe with a damp cloth after use and dry immediately. Avoid soaking or dishwashers.
- Serving boards will take cuts and stains from cheese, cured meats and fruit. A light sand with fine paper followed by oil refreshes the surface.
- Oil with food-safe mineral oil or board conditioner when the timber looks dry.
- Store flat or on edge, away from radiators and direct sunlight.
